Adam Whitbread is a Writer, Producer, Director, Composer and Teacher. His broad background in Media and Education includes 25 years teaching experience in Australia, the UK and the US, where he has worked widely in the film, TV, radio and multimedia industries.
Adam’s work with young people in Arts and Media, weaves together narrative, visual and performing elements with digital storytelling techniques to create projects that work on a variety of levels for students, teachers, filmmakers and communities.
In 2005 he founded the "Armed and Dangerous Youth Arts and Media Forum" - now an annual showcase for non-mainstream schools and community organisations within the St Kilda Short Film Festival. The event won the Civic Project of the Year award in 2005 and has continued to gather enthusiastic support from education, community and media industry sectors since. In 2008, the event became an annual 6 part documentary series on C31 and is now in its 4th year.
Adam completed his MBA in 2008 and works as a freelance producer and consultant with a particular interest in Social Enterprise in the Youth Arts and Media space. |

Adam Cooper is a filmmaker, animator, artist and musician. He has worked as a special needs teacher for over 15 years. Adam uses creativity as a focus for developing alternative programs for a wide variety of students. While working as a special needs teacher, Adam has fulfilled many coordinator roles including Leading Teacher, Arts Coordinator and Marketing Coordinator. He has conducted professional development seminars on the use of film and animation to re-engage learners. |
