VALA Membership changes

VALA is making some important changes that you should know about.

Up until now:

• to receive VALA’s e-newsletter you simply had to request it
• the VALA Resources webpage has been available to everyone to search for applied learning resources.

From the beginning of 2012 only members will:

• be sent the VALA e-newsletter including special newsletters like the Resources update
• be able to access applied learning resources on the searchable  Resources page.

More member benefits

Those organisations and individuals who are currently members of VALA will have recently received a complimentary copy of 'SAFE-T1 Starter' containing information about occupational health and safety and young people as well as a selection of the print-based resources that are available on the SAFE-T1 website.

Additional copies of 'SAFE-T1 Starter' can be purchased but VALA members will only pay $30 whereas non-members will pay $45.

Members will also have received the SAFE-T1 sampler CD. The CD provides an overview of the website as well as downloadable print-based resources, clips of a WorkSafe inspector talking about his job, and student developed resources (OHS rap, claymation).

Additional benefits

VALA is planning to offer a range of other member benefits in 2012 including more support material as well as discounts on VALA’s quality professional development events.

Not a member of VALA?

Join by 15th December and receive a complimentary copy of 'SAFE-T1 Starter' and the SAFE-T1 sampler CD.
