3. “Start here …” – VALA’s VCAL Induction Day

Jan at Induction DayOver ninety people attended the Induction Day (Feb 16) at William Angliss Institute and obviously found it an inspiring time. In addition, participants have provided VALA with more ideas for additional professional development and support.

What participants said:

  • ‘Great day. I feel much more confident teaching VCAL now.’
  • ‘Thank you, great location for us country train travellers and lovely venue and food too!’
  • ‘Getting ideas and resource ideas.’
  • ‘I now feel more confident/enthusiastic to teach VCAL.’
  • ‘I am new to VCAL and very unsure and nervous about what lay ahead for us. Now I am very excited!’

Our thanks to the enthusiastic presenters who generously opened their box of experience for everyone to use.

You can view some sessions.

Lost on the day

One participant accidentally left two books by Mark Collard, who ran the opening activity, at the venue. If you found ‘No Props’ and ‘Count Me In’, could you let the owner know by emailing MMannix@clc.vic.edu.au
